The rubber strap is not only stretchy itself, but there are elastic bands attaching it to the shoe on the sides. So the shoe fits snug but not too snug.

Very cute shoes, perfect for wearing with skinny/slim jeans as they are pretty low. These shoes are not ideal for wearing on long walks, and are better worn in situations where you won be doing much walking.
